Why do we exist?

Responding to the Great Commission in Matthew 28, CCSMU sends teams of missionaries to university campuses across the country. When we step onto University campuses, we seek out those who don’t know Jesus or don’t know him well enough.

Our Five Tenets

CCSMU adopts the 5 Tenets of CCO. These tenets are used to direct our ministry and form our missionary calls.

1 - University Students

The future leaders of our country are here, now Making decisions that have the potential to impact the world. One decision that can change eternity is what we accompany them to make: A decision to invite Jesus to be at the center of their lives influencing all decisions of their lives.

3 - One Person at a Time

We believe each individual matters and should have the chance to hear about God’s love and mercy. We take the time to accompany young adults as they draw closer to Jesus. We strive to treat everyone as if he or she were the only one, building deep, sincere relationships with those we lead.

4 - Heart for the World

Our ‘one person at a time’ approach is no excuse to dream small. Our heart desires to see the whole world reached by His love. We are always open to one more person, one more opportunity to proclaim Jesus, one more soul coming to know His saving power. We rejoice over one, but we hunger for all.

5 - Great Expectations

We act and expect God to use us. We do all that we can for each soul, knowing God “can do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine” (Eph 3:20). We throw ourselves into learning more, seeking more, and giving more, knowing that God can multiply even the smallest efforts into amazing results in our lives and the lives of those around us.

2 - The Gospel Clear and Simple

Our faith is based on a personal, life-giving encounter with Jesus Christ. We present the Gospel message in a clear and simple way so that people can understand it, respond to it, and share it with others. “What does it matter? Just this, that Christ is proclaimed in every way ... and in that, I rejoice” (Phil 1:18).
